Beaune Wine Festival ＾з＾☆

Beaune Wine festival is held in Burgundy of France, and this is famous in there. The period is from on the third Saturday and 3 days every year, so we call it “Three days of the glory”. In this year, 2008, it is 148 times. It has been held for a long time!!

For this 3 days, many persons, who concerned of wine all over the world, come to this festival. General people also can participate in this festival. So we can participate in the wine tasting party that is held in the previous day and that day with paying 13 euro. And we must satnd in lines because the event is popular. But these tasting wines are young, so we cannot enjoy real wines. In other words, we can enjoy growing wines and many various wines.

Another many events are held. For example, the wine school students give the demonstration of making barrels, parade and that is held uncork a bottle contest, the wine auction, and so on. It makes us enjoy and happy, perhaps it takes much time to watch all. We are, Japanese, cannot go to France easily, but I would like to go there someday. Of course, when I will have become 20 years old. :-D

Yokkaichi Festival

I will tell you my city festival, Yokkaichi festival of fall. In this year, it was held on 4th and 5th of October. The content is that a daimyo’s procession and many people walked and walked everywhere with Shishimai which is said in English, a lion dance. There is Yokkaichi festival in summer that is concerned with street vendor’s stall, but this fall festival is concerned with culture. So, famous things appear every time, for example, a huge monster with a tonsured head which is called Oonyuudou, a float which is called dashi and so on. And this purpose is that dedicate nerimono which is kind of float. But these nerimono are not same shape in Yokkaichi festival, so we can enjoy watching many variations.
In this fall Yokkaichi festival, we can many things that we cannot watch in the summer Yokkaichi festival. For example, whale of ships, makigari and so on. What is makigari? It is that we run down a beast and catch it.
And in this festival, we can listen to beating drams. The sound is nice. So if you come to this fall festival in Yokkaichi, you will enjoy it and watch and hear many things you have not ever seen.

I don’t often watch a foreign film, but I recommend you this movie, The Day After Tomorrow.
I’ll tell you this story.

The story is about global warming. When many searchers searched about the Antarctic ice, they understood the earth crisis. After that, in Tokyo, LA, and so on, many natural disasters happened; hailstone, hurricane. When Sam, Laura and Brian would go to the hall of the scholastic ability of high school, a high tsunami swept toward people on the street. They went into the library. The earth became strange; the temperature became low and low, it was snowing and snowing, so many people died. And then they and another people warmed their selves at a fire, or they would die. So Sam’s father, whose name is Jack, who is a professor as a climatologist, tried to help his son and the other people with his coworkers. He lost one of his coworkers, but they walked and walked. Finally they helped them and saw his son.

The main actor in the movie is Jake Gyllenhaal. This genre is action and adventure, and this story is about global warming. As you know, carbon dioxide on the earth become growing rapidly. The reason is that human make smoke from many factories and cars, and make much garbage. So this movie makes us notice how we help to destroy our earth, or it will come true. If you do not have actual feeling, you need to watch this movie. Perhaps you will think about global warming and you will know the situation of yourselves. Anyway please watch this once☆
